Junior Accountant (Młodszy Księgowy / Młodsza Księgowa)
Join the MEYIS accounting team in Warsaw as a junior accountant. Working alongside experienced accountants, you will learn the full client workflow, from posting documents to VAT returns and JPK files. Full-time, on-site; good Polish required.
We are growing and looking for a junior accountant (in Polish: Młodszy Księgowy / Młodsza Księgowa) to join our Warsaw office. It is a good place to start in accounting: you begin with day-to-day tasks and, working with our experienced accountants, gradually take over clients’ full bookkeeping.
What you will do
- Check accounting documents and assign them to the right accounts
- Post purchase and sales invoices, bank statements and cash reports
- Prepare VAT returns and JPK files under the supervision of experienced accountants
- Monitor receivables and payables and reconcile balances
- Support the month-end close
- Organise and archive client documents
What we are looking for
- Education in economics (finance, accounting), completed or in progress
- Basic knowledge of accounting and of VAT and income tax rules
- Good Polish – documents and correspondence are in Polish
- Confident use of Excel
- Accuracy, good organisation and a willingness to learn
Nice to have
- First experience in an accounting office or a finance department (internships count)
- Knowledge of Symfonia and Saldeo
- Turkish or English
