Polish tax deadline calendar generator

The 20th and the 25th are the two dates that matter most in Polish business, and neither is fixed: both slide to the next working day when they land on a Saturday, a Sunday or one of thirteen public holidays. This works that out for your exact profile.

Common questions
01 What happens if a deadline falls on a Saturday?

It moves to the first working day after it. Article 12 § 5 of the Tax Ordinance treats a Saturday like a public holiday for this purpose, which is why 25 April 2026 — a Saturday — is really 27 April. The rule catches out anyone scheduling payments a fixed number of days ahead: the money has to be with the tax office or ZUS on the shifted date, not sent on it.

02 Is Christmas Eve a working day in Poland?

Not any more. 24 December became a public holiday from 2025, which shifted the December deadlines for everyone and made a lot of published calendars quietly wrong. Together with the 25th and 26th it puts three consecutive non-working days at the end of the year, so anything due around then has to be settled before the 23rd in practice.

03 Can I file quarterly instead of monthly?

For VAT, small taxpayers may switch to quarterly returns after twelve months of being registered — but the JPK records still go monthly, so it is three payments a year instead of twelve, not three filings. Income-tax advances can be quarterly for small taxpayers and businesses in their first year. Quarterly settlement is easier on the diary and harder on cash flow, because the amount arrives three times bigger.
