Erasmus+ traineeships in Warsaw for participants from Spain
Vocational training centres and universities in Spain can send learners, students, graduates and staff to our office in central Warsaw. We sign what your application to SEPIE and the Learning Agreement need, and participants work with us in English.
- Madrid to Warsaw: the 2,000–2,999 km travel band
- ≈ 2,290 km
- The monthly EU range for students, plus €150 on a traineeship
- €225–550
- An ID card is enough; stays over 3 months are registered
- No visa
How it works for you
- Your centre or university applies to SEPIE, the Spanish National Agency for education and training. Before you apply, we sign a letter of intent and send our organisation details.
- Travel support for learners, students and staff depends on where you are: Madrid, Valencia and Seville are in the 2,000–2,999 km band to Warsaw (€395, or €535 with green travel), Barcelona in the 500–1,999 km band (€309, or €417).
- Spain is in the medium-cost group and Poland in the lower-cost one, so students and recent graduates get the lower EU range: €225–550 a month, plus €150 a month on a traineeship. Students at universities in the Canary Islands get €786 a month instead.
- No visa: Spanish citizens travel with an ID card or passport. A stay of more than 3 months is registered in person at the voivode’s office in Warsaw.
- Participants bring the European Health Insurance Card. Accident and liability insurance at the workplace is required; we expect it from the sending organisation, and the Learning Agreement records it.
- Participants work in English at the level their track recommends (A2–B2); Polish is needed only on the Polish translation track.
What we are asked about this
01 Which National Agency funds an Erasmus+ traineeship from Spain?
SEPIE (Servicio Español para la Internacionalización de la Educación) manages Erasmus+ for higher education, vocational education and training, school and adult education in Spain. Your centre or university applies to SEPIE; we provide the letter of intent and our organisation details.
02 How much travel support do participants from Spain get?
For learners, students and staff alike it follows the air distance from your centre or university to Warsaw, measured with the European Commission’s distance calculator. Madrid (≈ 2,290 km), Valencia (≈ 2,165 km) and Seville (≈ 2,670 km) are in the 2,000–2,999 km band: €395 for the return journey, or €535 with green travel. Barcelona (≈ 1,865 km) is in the 500–1,999 km band: €309, or €417. The Canary Islands are close to 4,000 km away, where the band changes, so check your town in the calculator. Green travel also pays up to 6 travel days instead of 2.
03 What monthly grant do students from Spain get in Poland?
Poland has lower living costs than Spain, so students and recent graduates get the lower EU range: €225–550 a month, plus €150 a month on a traineeship and €250 a month more for students with fewer opportunities. Students at universities in the Canary Islands, an outermost region, get €786 a month instead, without those top-ups. SEPIE and your university publish the exact amounts.
04 Do participants from Spain need a visa for Poland?
No. Citizens of Spain enter Poland with an ID card or passport. For a stay of more than 3 months they register it in person at the voivode’s office in Warsaw, no later than the day after 3 months from entry. They bring the European Health Insurance Card for healthcare.
